Boys-Football.jpg

Last night the THS Freshmen Football team suffered a heartbreaking loss to East Ascension in Tiger Stadium.  East Ascension connected on a 26 yard touchdown pass as time expired to tie the game at 14-14.  The Spartans sealed the victory as they connected on the extra point with no time left on the clock to lift them to a 15-14 victory.  The Tigers were led defensively by leading tacklers Spencer Boudreaux and Roderick Carter.  The Tigers were led offensively by a heavy passing attack of Luke Allemand who connected with several receivers.  The Tigers opened the scoring as Allemand connected with Phillip Simmons on a long touchdown pass.  The other Tiger touchdown came in the 4th quarter as Kammeron Smith took a reverse the distance to take the lead.  With the loss, the Tigers record drops to 1-1 on the season.  The Freshmen Tigers continue play on Wednesday September 20th in Tiger Stadium as they play host to HLB.  Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30.  The Tigers welcome all fans to come out and support Freshmen athletics.
